STODDART, J.A. CREASER and John PATTERSON, who reside near Angels, Calaveras county, arrived yesterday in this city from Washoe. Their freight eastward was 13,000 pounds of iron, with 3 6-horse wagons. They returned empty as far as Copperopolis, where they freighted with copper ore to Stockton. The represent the road from Murphy’s to the Big Meadows as being smooth and excellent in all respects. For 20 miles from the Meadows eastward to the summit, the road is not good. Snow 14 inches deep was encountered in many places in the vicinity of the summit. Notify Administrator about this message?
