Douglas Flat is really just a wide spot in the road. No township to speak of. Most towns in Calaveras County do not have governments. Lorrayne Kennedy at the Historical Society in San Andreas may be able to help. I'll get on the phone to her tomrrow or the day after. She is not in every day. My folks lived in Douglas Flat in 1938-1939. There is also a Historical Society in Angels Camp but I don't know anyone there.
