Does the area known as DOUGLAS FLATS in Calaveras County still exist. I am a decendant of William DOUGLAS(S) of Sonora (circa 1856) that the area was named for back during the goldrush.
Any information on the history of DOUGLAS(S) FLATS or the DOUGLAS(S) and/or McALLISTER Families would be greatly appriciated.
