Monday, October 23, 1905 Page 6 *********************************** GRIDLEY COUPLE WED IN SAN FRANCISCO GRIDLEY (Butte Co.), October 23 - On Wednesday, October 18, 1905, in San Francisco, occurred the wedding of James MYERS and Ruby L. McDONALD, both residents of this town. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Walter M. WHITE, minister of the West Side Christian Church. The event may be regarded by some as a surprise, as there was no formal announcement to the public, but the friends of both parties were apprised in July that the wedding was being planned to occur in October at the home of the uncle and aunt of the bride, in San Francisco, where she has been visiting since July. The groom was reared in this community and for the past six years has been a clerk in the employ of Uncle Sam's Railway Mail Service, under assignment to the local trains between Oroville and Sacramento. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S.A.D. McDONALD, who came here from Iowa two years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Myers will reside in Gridley, where they have property interests.
