I am looking for information about George Bright Pearce and Olivia Ann (Aikin)Pearce and their children who moved from eastern Iowa to Butte Co. CA (probably Paradise) in the late 1800s. The nine children (born in Iowa 1848-1866) were Mary Louisa, Ellen, Lura (m. Thomas McNees), Frances, Henry, Arthur, Cyrus, Jesse (m. Thomas Jenkins), and George Jr. (m. Mary Jan Howard). They are cousins on my mother's side of the family.
I would like to contact descendents of that family, and am especially curious about why the family moved to California. I attended college in Chico in the late 1960s, but was unaware that they had been there first!
I would be happy to share whatever information I have.
