Dry Creek Diggings? Anyone heard of it?

I'm looking for info on a Dry Creek Diggings which I believe might be in Amador County. I've search El Dorado County and it's not listed there, nor is my relation showing up on any of their censuses, etc.
Looking for GOODINGS (Hiram and Horace) who arrived in Oct. 1850 from a trip on the Overland Route from NY. Hiram died there within weeks, but Horace stayed for about 2 years.
