Why don't you just write to them? An obit might only identify the name of the survivors.

I looked for an obit in the online "The Argus", and in the "Tri-City Voice" Newspapers. Both searches were unsuccessful.

www.zabasearch.com shows a Timothy in Florida. But just write to the address you have in Union City.
