I have the following Obituary for Lulu Thorne. It is tantalizing close to telling me where she is buried, But doesn't quite get there. So, can anyone more familiar with the cemeteries in Alameda Co, give me a clue where she is buried? Her son Claude who died December 24, 1955, also is yet to be found. Maybe they are both in the same cemetery. Son, Guy, is in Grass Valley. It would be nice to know where Lulu's Home was. The census is no help as she moved to Oakland after 1910 & died before 1920. Thanks in advance.
Mrs. Lulu Thorne Dies in Oakland
Mrs. Lulu Thorne, died at her home in Oakland Sunday evening, after an illness of seven weeks. She was the widow of John Thorne, who was shot while duck hunting in Humboldt County about nine years ago. She leaves two sons, Guy and Claude. Interment will take place in Oakland. Mrs. Thorne, formerly lived in Eureka and left here about eight years ago.
