I can't help you regarding your father or grandfather though you might try the Nichols genforum on this website or check the So. Sec. death records on the internet.I just wanted you to know that Oaknoll Naval Hospital still stands though the Navy vacated it when Congress started cutting back on military bases in the 90's.
