Steven Richard Olla
STEVEN RICHARD OLLA A remarkable person of compassion, talent and devotion, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, and went to be with the Lord. He is finally reunited with his mother, whom he loved so much and with many friends who died before him. He is survived by his wonderful wife of thirty years, Linda Olla, and his two wonderful sons, Nick and Phillip. He also leaves behind his father, Michael R. Olla, brothers, Mike, Bob and Lou, and sisters, Pat Adamson and Julie. Steven also is survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews. Though family and friends grieve his passing, the Christian faith that has sustained them through past tragedies reassures them now that he is at last in a place of glorious rest with our Father. It is easy to envision Steve serving a gourmet dinner to all the inhabitants of heaven with style and flair, then accompanying the angels as they sing their beautiful songs. Many people in the music world and the young men and women he mentored and joked with will miss his infectious laugh and wise counsel, but his legacy will live on through them. A celebration of Steve's life will be held at Centerville Presbyterian Church, 4360 Central Avenue, Fremont, on September 26 at 3 p.m. The family has requested that donations be made in his name to Mission San Jose High School's Music and Drama Department in Fremont.
