Archibald, Annie & Margaret McDonald
Posted by: Dwight Helle (ID *****6891) Date: August 29, 2004 at 12:55:48

Looking for information on Archibald McDonald, he was born in Glasgow Scotland in Nov; 1838. I think he imigrated to America in 1859. He fought in the civil war 1861 thru 1867 and he died in the Veterans home at Yountsville and is buried in the Yount cemetery. His wifes name was Annie and they had a daughter named Margaret, I have no idea when/where they were married. Only that they are listed in the 1880 San Franciso Census and Margaret was 2 years old at that time. I dont know when his wife Annie died but know it was before the 1900 Census. Also I dont know what became of Margaret although I found her on the 1900 census in Brookly Township, Alameda County, CA and is single with her occupation listed as a school teacher. Is there somewhere that would have records on teacher in that area also obits? Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
