Helen F. Lingo was on the 1920 census of Oakland, Alameda Co., CA, with her parents Harry Hall and Belle Garrison Lingo (originally from Ohio) and her sister Margaret. By the census of 1930, she was a 47-year-old widow Helen Hamlin who was a housekeeper in a private home of Albert F. Hansen in Berkeley, Alameda Co., CA. With her was a 9-year-old Helen ("lodger".) Looking for her husband who was reported to have been William Hamlin. What was his name and when and where did he die? What happened to the child Helen?
