I have an antique photograph collection and I recently bought a photograph of a young woman that was identified. On back in pencil is written "Nana Rogers, 18 yrs. old," and then under that in pen (and a different handwriting) is written "Was Leonora L. Silva." I take that to mean that Silva was her maiden name. The portrait was taken at Dames & Co. in Oakland, CA. I would place it Turn-of-the-century/early 1900s. While I am not willing to give up the photograph from my collection, I would be happy to make a copy for any descendants/relatives of this young woman. If you are a relative and would like to see the picture, please e-mail me at email@example.com and I will scan it for you.
