I am researching the genealogy of Helen Wills Moody Roark of Berkeley, Alameda county, CA. Her father was a surgeon. Helen learned tennis at the Berkeley Tennis Club. She attended the University of California at Berkeley. One source said she was born in Centerville, CA. I can not find that in my atlas. Could it be Cedarville? She won 8 Wimbledon singles titles in the 1920s and 1930s and held that record until Martina Navratilova won her 9th singles title in 1990. (52 years). Would appreciate any information about her or her family.
