Little Sisters of the Poor Home for the Aged, Oakland, CA

The Catholic religious order Little Sisters of the Poor ran a home for the aged in Oakland, CA. This home no longer exists.

My great great grandmother Maria (maiden name DeMello) resided at this home in the 1920's. She does not appear on the 1920 census. So was probably a resident after the census was taken. She was a native of the Azores and married at least 3 times. Not sure of her married name at the time of her death approx. 1926. Her sons (Souza)paid for her care.

I know the Little Sisters of the Poor currently run a home in San Francisco. Does anyone know if they have records back to the 1920's and how one would go about obtaining them?

Thank you
