Alameda Cty. death notice
Posted by: Callie Date: April 25, 2001 at 17:10:45

I'm doing research on my GGGrandfather, Arven T. Baker. I have a 1915 newspaper from Alameda Cty., with his obit-stating the following:
'The Reverend Hugh Baker of the Marin Avenue church conducted the services and the Berg Brothers had charge of the funeral. '
Has anybody heard of the Berg Brothers? was that the name of the funeral parlor? if so, is the business still on operation? also-it listed the Sunset View Cemetery, N. Berkeley-which had placed an ad-stating it was newly opened (with directions for getting there by public trans.). could that be the Sunset View listed on Colusa Ave., El Cerrito? I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks, Cal
