Rosemarie Hiott was born in Sav'h GA in the mid 1930's, her father was Whitson "Fripp" Hiott and mother was Geneva Roach. Rosemarie was married in 1955 in Sav'h to Edward Berry, they were divorced by 1959, there were no children. In 1983, her father died in Sav'h, her name was listed as Rosemarie Hiott, so I assume she did not remarry as of that time. Her mother has passed away, date and place unknown to me at this time. One brother, Franklin D. Hiott passed away in TN in the early 1970's. One sister, Dollie Dimple Hiott Harrison, lived in Sav'h until 3 years ago when she sold her house and moved, i've not been able to trace her or her children.
the reason i am trying to find Rosemarie and Dollie is because when their parents divorced when they were about 3 and 4 years old there was another baby born and put up for adoption. From what I understand the chilren were left with the father at the time of separation and were then placed in a children's home. The mother, Geneva, apparently placed the last child with a family for adoption to be able to stay close, but things didn't go as planned.
The reason that I am doing the research, is because Geneva Roach is the aunt of my older half-sister. I saw a post on the Genforum Board for Chatham Co over the Thanksgiving Holiday about Geneva Roach, I answered it thinking I found someone to give me more information. Instead, I opened a can of worms, I don't regret it. I have been looking for information for 15 years for my sister and have found more in the last 4 mos than the prev 15 years.
I hope this is enough to help out. Like I said, any information greatly appreciated, also will share what i have.
