Andrew C. Jenks and wife came to Eureka on the steamer Kilburn, in January 1907 to attend the double funeral of his nephews who were murdered here a few days before. One of the nephews was my grandfather, my father being one and a half years old. Tracing my family tree, and Andrew was my GGrandfather's (Edwin Albert Jenks)brother. I have four pages of birth, death, and marriages dates back to 1767, but have some holes in it from Edwin, and Andrew back. Edwin (GGFather) married Ethelinda Gross in Sept. 1874, and Andrew married her sister E.M. Gross in May 1875. I don't know where they were married, but any information on the name Gross might help also. They sailed from Point Richmond which I think is in Alameda Co? Thank you in advance for any help on these folks.
