William Frost was born near Limerick, Ireland, July 26, 1834. At the age of 15yrs. he came with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Barnes, to America. The family located in Chicago for a short time and later moved to St. Charles, Ill., where the father died. After the father died the widow & children came to Minnesota settling in the Kenevan district around 1863. William Frost later went to Rochester where he met and married Ann Kenny in 1864. To them were born two girls. The first girl was Katy (Mrs. William Swanson of Mason City) born around 1865. The second girl was Ann (Mrs. John Ryan of Spokane, later to be Mrs. John Leary on Jan. 1, 1889 of Austin Minn.) Ann was born around 1867. William’s wife Mrs. Ann Frost (Kenny) died in 1869.
In 1872 William Frost, married Johanna Noonan of Austin Minn. To them were born a girl named Mary (Mrs. Mary Smith Davidson of Austin Minn.) Mary was born around 1872. A son named James C. (Of Beach, North Dakota & San Diego, CA.) James was born around 1874. A son named Joseph (of Berkley CA. & Austin) Joseph was born around 1876. A son named William Ambrose (of Peace River Alta. Canada & Golden BC Canada) William Ambrose was born November 13,1879 in Austin Minnesota, and died Feb.1, 1963 in Golden BC Canada.

Mrs. Johanna Frost (Noonan) was born in Ardath Ireland and died in Austin Minn. May 24, 1921. She left behind her children and two grandchildren. Harold Davison (a son of Mary's) and James Robert Frost (a son of William Ambrose). She also left behind a brother, P. H. Noonan of Pacific Grove, California.
According to the 1880 census of the City of Austin, in the County of Mower. All 6 children of William Frost were born in Minnesota. The census also states that both William & Johanna’s parents were born in Ireland.
Most of this information has been found from the Obituary columns of different newspapers. We have also found different spelling of some of the names. The name Noonan has also been spelled Noonen. Kenny, Kinney Davison, Davidson
This is most of what we have to go on at this time. Any help would be appreciated. We hope this information will be helpful to others looking for their family history also.
In the early 1900's Joseph was living in Berkley in the county of Alameda. Would like to here from anyone that new of him.
