Thank you. This is our Uncle Walter. I tried to get the information on Herschel by trying the California death index, but nothing came up. His first name might not be Herschel or some other spelling for that name. Herschel died by drowning in Lake Merritt. in the summer of1941 or 1942. We don't know his mother's maiden name. I think her given name was Mae. He was married, however we don't know the maiden name of his wife. If you see anything like that, I would be forever grateful. thanks again, Elizabeth McGhee
