Searching for information about Henry Byrnes, born about 1901. He might have been an adopted child. One document lists him as Henry Patrick Byrnes, son of Patrick and Ellen "Nellie" (Hinley) Byrnes of Boston. Were they his adoptive parents? Another document gives his name as Henry Manuel Byrnes, but does not contain any information about his parents. Family tradition says he was born on PEI to parents named Manuel, then adopted by the Byrnes. There are no documents in MA to substantiate this adoption. By 1926, he was living in Queens, NY, where he married Loretta Cecilia Gordon. His address at that time was given as Roseberry Street in Forest Hills. His occupation was given as chauffeur. Can anyone make a connection with this Henry? Does anyone know what family employed him as chauffeur? I have pictures and descendant information that I would be happy to share.
