Byrnes Family Genealogy Forum

I am trying to locate ancestry info for my husband's family tree. His great-granfather's name was Thomas John Byrnes born 30 Nov 1863, supposedly in New Brunswick Canada. Thomas John Byrnes listed on his marriage record to Mary Scollick, that his parents names were Thomas and Jane Byrnes. I have searched archives sites for New Brunswick and cannot locate a Thomas and Jane Byrnes, and I have only been able to find ONE Thomas Byrnes married to a woman named Jane, (1851 Census for Canada East, Deux Montagnes County, Grenville, District 33, SubDistrict 530,
page 45, line 32.. lists Thomas Byrnes DOB: 1826, his wife is named Jane, DOB:1821, and they list 5 children, the last being a Thomas, but NOT the Thomas John DOB1863). I am thinking IF this IS the correct Byrnes family, then, perhaps Thomas John Byrnes was a "later in life" birth, and hence the difference in birth years from those children listed in the 1851 census. I am at a loss, what I hope to do is to find out if the family (listed in the 1851 Census) is indeed the parents and siblings of Thomas John Byrnes born in 1863. I know the Eastern Townships of Quebec, are not all that far from New Brunswick and perhaps the Byrnes family listed in the 1851 census relocated to the Saint John area of NB before 1863? If anyone has any ancestry/family tree info on the family of Thomas and Jane Byrnes who were listed on the 1851 Census, would you kindly contact me at my email address to help me solve this mystery, as I would truly like to be able to locate info on my husband's ancestors.
thanks.. elaine byrnes
