Hi Jim thanks for replying to my post, I can't see a connection but I thought I give you the information I have on Elizabeth Byrnes family, Like John Byrnes's family they came from the Forkill area of County Armagh, Elizabeth's parents were Peter Byrnes & Elizabeth Bellew, they had at least six children (all girls) Margaret (b1855) Annie (b1861) Josephine (b1863) Roseena (b1865) Elizabeth (b1869) and Catherine (b1874), I am sure there is more children for this family but I am still looking for proof of this.
All the children moved to Scotland, Margaret married Michael Reilly in Glasgow in 1906, Annie married Thomas McGarry in Houston Renfrewshire in 1889, Josephine married James McGarry in 1892 in Glasgow, Roseena never married but also moved to Glasgow in the late 1890's, as you Elizabeth married John Byrnes in Barrow in 1901 and Catherine married Patrick Loyden in Glasgow in 1906.
As far as I know neither of parents ever moved to Scotland.
