O'Byrne (etc!) Ennis (?)

Family rumour is that three brothers (fishermen?) came to England from Ireland - the rule was no men from the same family were to travel on the same boat - so they became O'Byrne, Byrne and Burns. My Great grandfather was John Burns who maried Ada (Unknown) in Liverpool early in 1900s. My Nana told me that the family came from Ennis (could have been Ennistimon, Enniscorthy?) Anyone with O'Byrne links in these areas - any help would be appreciated. One of the men who left Ennis (etc) we think was Thomas.
