Lawrence A. Byrne Lawrence A. Byrne of Vernon Hills Services for Lawrence A. Byrne, 87, will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, Ltd., 101 Park Place (Route 176, one block east of Milwaukee Ave.), Libertyville, proceeding to St. Joseph Church, 121 E. Maple Ave., Libertyville, for a Mass at 10 a.m. Cemetery services will be at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, 708-422-3020. Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Born Nov. 16, 1920, in Fethard, County Tipperary, Ireland, he died Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at home surrounded by his family. Mr. Byrne was a longtime Lake County resident. He served in the Army in World War II, was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Libertyville and was a loyal and faithful employee of John F. Cuneo for many years. He is survived by his children, Larry, John (Susan), Mary and Eileen; his grandchildren, Alanna and Moira; his sisters, Helen Crehan and Rose Olmstead; his brother-in-law, Bart (Maureen) Murphy; and many nieces and nephews.
