According to Irish Annals the Byrne and Kehoe familes of Leinster are related. I am wondering if DNA testing will prove that. So far, much of the Irish story of our coming from Spain has been backed up by genetic testing. It would not surprise me if genetic testing connects the Leinster families along the lines of O'Hart's genealogies. If that is the case, the Byrnes and Kehoes of Ui Faolain will be genetically linked with the O'Tooles, the Dowlings and the Kavanaghs.
If any Byrnes has been tested, I would love to hear if your results show a common ancestor with other Leinster families. My test results,through FTDFNA, are due in in mid September.
