I have just started looking at the Byrne name and found your posting from 2001.My cousin is a descendant of Lucinda (Byrne) and Samuel Singleton, and I have information regarding them from Bob Lloyd, a very distant cousin in Tennessee.Bob sent this to me in 1999. This shows Lucinda (1793-??) as the daughter of Uriah Byrne and Lydia Brown (1762-??.Uriah Byrne was the son of Thomas Byrne.Lydia Brown was the daughter of William Brown, Jr. (son of Wm. Brown, Sr.) and Elizabeth Byrn (daughter of George and Lydia Byrn).I noticed the difference in spellings ("Byrne" and "Byrn") - the two families may have been connected; I don't know.Bob Lloyd included this paragraph:"George Byrn's 2nd great-granddaughter, Mary Ann Byrne, married WV Supreme Court Judge, Homer A. Holt.Judge Holt's grandson was WV Governor, Homer A. Holt."
I don't know whether any of this is worth anything to you at this late date, but through it was worth a shot.If you've discovered anything more going back on this line, I'd be happy to know about it.
