Samantha,

I am researching the Wyche/Wyke/Weeks families of Prince George Co., VA. I am familiar with the Wm. Byrd family and the roots with the St. Legers, Codds and Horsemandens, but I just found deed for a Thomas Weeks in PG who bought 50a of land in Aug. 1717 which was adjacent to James Pace, Richard Byrd and John Hatch. Do you think that this is the same Richard Byrd that you have as a son of John Byrd Jr. and Rebecca Sutton of Perquimans? The time line could fit and could also give me a tie in to Thomas Weeks Esq. who m. an Ann Cock in Perquimans Co., NC in 1724.

This is the first connect that I have found between Perq. and Prince George, VA other than a John Parish who may have migrated from PG to Perq.

After searching this forum I couldn't come up with a definitive answer as to whether or not Wm Byrd and John Byrd were related. Do you know?

Thanks for your time.

Walter Weeks
