There is no reason to think so. Nicholas Smith was at one time a neighbor to this William Bynum's father, and William Bynum and his cousin Richard Blow were later adoining landowners to Lawrence Smith. When Lawrence Smith left the area he sold a portion of his land to his neighbor William Bynum. I don't know of any record that suggests they were anything more than nect-door neighbors.
