Hi Katherine,
The information I have has been passed down to me and it sounds like it comes from the LDS site. I have John and Rachel Bynon in Plymouth Dock, their son George Haley Bynon, the marriage to Jane Picken but my next ancestor is Alfred Augustus who was born in Charlottetown or Tryon and whose mother was Jane Picken or Jane Briggs.
Alfred Augustus married a Charlottetown girl named Adelaide Collins and they had a daughter named Adelaide. They moved to New Brunswick in 1852 and had a son named Albert Arthur. The next year his wife Adelaide and the baby Arthur both died.
He then married Marcella Rand of Shediak, NB, whose grandfather was the Reverend Silas Rand and had known George Bynon through his work in the Baptist Church at Tryon. With little Adelaide, Alfred Augustus and Marcella added daughter Hulda in New Brunswick and then moved to the U.S. and had nine more children:Ella Jane, George, Minnie, Augustus Henry, Harriet Belle, Alfred Herbert, Frederick Silas, and Edward C.
Does this info mesh with yours?
