I can't give you any genealogical information on Miss Byington.
But I can give you this.

I knew her when I worked at the study in N. Hollywood, California in the early 60's.
She was a true lady of much grace & class. When I would come to the set where they were filming she would insist that I sit in her studio chair & she would serve the 2 of us Tea & cookies.
I asked her one day if she would sign an autograph for my son, which she graciously did.
She never failed to ask me about my son & enjoyed hearing of the antics of a 3 1/2 year old & his activities.

Miss. Byingston was a very tiny lady, all of 4'11" tall, with pretty sparkling brown eyes, & lovely white hair.

Some times when filming they would have her standing on a platform which of course ,does not show in the movies.

They had to do this because some of the Actors that were in the movies with her were so much larger then she that it would over power her acting.

Yes a more gracious & lovely lady I have never know.
Nor shall she ever be forgotten.
