David, I did not copy the papers on Isaac Byers in Champaign Co. My notes show that this property was a sheriff's sale on 8 Feb 1812- Advertisment of property on 22 Feb 1812 and sale of same on 7 Nov. 1812.This info is at the Urbana Free Library in Urbana, Il.They have good Champaign Co. info with an index to most names.I used the index for this info.At the Ill. State Archives (copied by us in 1990) "The Biographical Record of McLean County, Ill. Pub 1899 by the S. J. Clarke Pub Co. 1899, Chicago", there is an article on an Edward Byers, son of Isaac Byers, from Ohio and then lived in Champaign Co.This is one of the earliest Byers I can find in Il. His family came to Champaign in 1836 and then McLean Co.In "Shawneetown Land District Records 1814-1829" copied by Lowell N. Volker (copied by us at the Effingham Co. Gen. Soc. Effingham, Il) there is an 1819 land record for a James Byers, White Co., Il.These two line did not seem to be a part of our family, so I did no further research.Sorry not to be of more help.Lauralea Byers
