Family tradition, along with information in the "Anals of Newberry", tend to indicate that Casper had a first wife and that her name was Catherine. But given the confusion between the Casper Byerley in South Carolina and the Casper Byerley who migrated to PA aboard the ship Recovery, I wonder if Catherine really was her name and if in fact he was married twice?
His will indicates that his wife at the time of his death was Mary. What information does everyone have to show that her name was Easter or Oster?
