My father, Dr. W. Grimes Byerly is a direct descendant of Peter Byerly of Lexington, NC. Dr. Byerly has written several books on the Byerly family. I think he could provide you with the information you need. However, he hasn't moved into the e-mail age. Please contact me and I'll put you in touch.
