Mick,
Difficult for me to figure out how to do this without confusing things or running out of room! Maybe if I just handle it a country/concept at a time...
Australia:
William Henry Bye b. 1849 who went to Australia:
Child Frederick William Bye m. Sarah L. Nosworthy 1900, d. May 1955
Had children:

3. Robert Reuben Bye b. 30 Jan 1909, m. 5 Nov 1940 Jean Douglas Campbell, d. 23 Nov 1956
Their child Robert Reuben Bye b. 1909 had:
1. William Douglas Bye b. Jun 1941, m. 1970? Andrea Carol Tanter
2. Patricia Ann Bye b. 1943, d. 1978

This info from Jean Douglas Campbell Bye in 1997.

You mentioned that you had no marriages or deaths for Burchell, Herbert Henry, David Marshall or Albert Hutchings BYE.That's because theyall came to the US.
Birchell E. Bye b. Oct 1852, m.c. 1883-1886 Mary E. Harriman/Herman Donihue in Michigan. She had several children: she and Birchell had no natural children.Birchell became a naturalized citizen in Oakland County, Michigan in 1877. He died 30 May 1902 in Midland, Midland county, Michigan. Birchell's nickname was "Shorty".NOTE: There is a rumor that Birchell had a wife prior to Mary...no evidence of that yet, but it is *possible*..see end-note.
Albert Hutchings Bye, b. March 1870, never married, d. 27 Nov 1892 in Midland, Midland County, Michigan. He had been injured in an explosion that spring, contracted typhiod that fall, from which he died.
Herbert Henry Bye b. 1859. This fellow is a mystery. He reportedly came to the US with his brother (which one I don't know!) and stayed in New York City, New York where he became a "Cathedral artist".I found him listed in the 1893 Tow's New York City Directory, where he was listed as a painter. He does not show up before, or after, that date. One very important note is that HH (as he was known by family) lived in the Hell's Kitchen section of New York in 1893. It was a wild section of New York, with numerous killings per day...the police didn't even like to enter the area...he could *very well* have died there. In any case, when his father died in 1900, the family tried to locate him, even hired private detectives, and he could not be found.By the time all of William's children signed off on the will in 1907, he was apparently not found as he did not sign the Will.It is *possible* that he married..see end-note.
END-NOTE: I have found sparse reference totwo "odd" Bye's in Midland, Michiganin theearly 1900's...they are not related to a nearby BYE family to the west that comes from Surrey, England. These *could* be children of Birchell or HH.So far, I've gotten nowhere with them, and are not even sure that their *real* surname is Bye.I *do* feel they are connected to this family.
David Marshall Bye b. 12 Apr 1864, m.(1) 25 Jan 1887 Midland, Michigan to Katherine "Kitty" May Donihue, m. (2) Susan L. Woods Hirst, m. (3) Pearl Fillmore,d. 14 Sept 1931 Bay City, Bay County, Michigan. All children were from his first wife.

NOTE: David Marshall's wife Kitty was his brother's (step)daughter.
........................
The children of William and Sarah Hutchings Bye:
Add:
William Henry Bye, baptised 29 Jan 1847, died before 1849. (He was baptised along with his sister, Sarah Ann). This is NOT the same William as was born in 1849.
Sarah Ann Hutchings Bye was buried 6 Apr 1905.
Of this particular Bye family, the only daughter that married and had children was Sarah Ann (m. George Todman), and the only sons that had children were David Marshall and William Henry, although as noted above, it *is* possible that one other son had children.
BTW, do you have a marriage place for Sarah Ann Bye and George Todman?
My fingers are tired!
