I believe that your Edward Clarence Byars, Sr. may well be the brother of my grandfather, Joseph Richard Byars.
I have the name as Edwin Clarence Byars, as taken from the old Byars Bible records, and the birthdate as Feb. 7, 1891. If this is the same man, then he is the son of Joseph Richard Byars and Mary Wade, who lived in Chester Co. and Union Co, SC.
