A portion of "A History of Butts Co. Georgia" published by the William McIntosh Chapter Dar, Jackson, MS was published in 1986 Vol. I no. 3 pp 63-65. Harrel N. Byars, b. May 20, 1820 d. Aug 22, 1902. He md. 1st Nov 23, 1843 Butts Co. GA. Ann Eliza Nutt. There was no issue from this marriage. He md. 2nd Nov. 25, 1865, Mrs. Mary I (Moore) Nutt, Widow of William B. Nutt. Evidently "Harrie" was their step-father. cbh
