Bobbie,
I too am descended from Pa-KY Byars...mine in the Mason-Bracken Co. area. We descended from Jacob-1774 who married Eve Dillman. Two of their sons, Jacob and John married Tibbles sisters, and their daughter Mary, married James Boothe. There is also a connection between Eve's brother Frederick, whose son David Bowman Dillman married back into the Byar line [Rebecca Jane] although we haven't located her parents yet. If you have any unfo you would wish to share I would be very interested. Like you, it is difficult enough to trace a name w/o a standardized spelling without someone else telling you you're wrong. Thanks for standing up for all us "Byars."

Judith Byar Schwab
