Hi Cousin: It is always surprising to me that almost every time I work on my Byars Family, I find a long lost, or never heard of cousin. My lineage comes from Nathan Byars. Nathan married Drucilla Harrelson. Nathan Byars was born in Granville County, NC in 1749. He married twice: first to Drucilla Harrelson, second to Delphy Logan. Nathan Sr., was a soldier in the Revolutionary War and that "his father told him that he was a small boy at the time of Gen. Braddocks defeat" I feel certain Nathan was referring to the French and Indian War of 1755. I think that Drucilla Harrelson was the first wife of Abner Womack. Abner was born 2-10-1769, the son of Thomas H. and Louvica (Rice) womack. There is some question about which children were born to Drucilla and which were born to her sister Martha. There were eighteen to twenty-one children attributed to Abner and it has been suggested that the Martha mentioned as his wife was in fact a third wife named Martha. Should you need additional information, please let me know as I have everything on this family, even the children's name. Sue
