The king of England need to grow more food for England and cleared of the upper counties of Ireland and brought in the Scot's to farm this area.The Scots were Presby. and Irish were Chlc,.(never the two to mix)When the next king tried to get the Scots to convert,a bloody war insued and there was a mass mirgration of these Scots to America,and they were known as the Scot/Irish..A SOCIAL HISTORY OF THE SCOT-IRISH PEOPLE.......EVA IN NC
