Sharod Matthews was married to Jean (Jane) Byars. Two of their children were Anderson Byars Matthews and Mary (Polly) Matthews. The marriage record: Marriages of Louisa County Virginia 1766-1815, Kathleen Booth Williams, reprinted by Genealogical Publishing Co., 1989, p 10. says they were married 6 January 1779. Sharod Matthews and Jane Byars. Sur. John Byars. Married 9 January by Rev. Wm. Douglas who says Sharad and Jean.I have some info on Anderson and his children but am looking for information about Sharod's parents.
