According to a book I have on this line,
William Byars who married Elizabeth Bedford was the son of Jonas Byars and Frances Collins. Elizabeth Bedford was the daughter of Jonas Bedford and Amasa "Mercy" Raymond. William was born in Virginia and died in Spartanburg, S.C. Elizabeth died in Chickasaw County, MS and is buried in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Calhoun County, MS. There children were:
Robert Byars
Rebekah Byars
Seth Byars
Lydia Byars
Nancy Byars
Joe Byars
Jonas Byars b. 1790 in S.C. married Sarah Davis
James Byars born 1794 in S.C died ca 1865 in Calhoun County, MS. married Mary F. Richards. buried in Macedonia Cemetery, Calhoun County, MS>
Susie Byars
Eunice Byars
Joab Byars b. 1807 in S.C. married Henrietta Arnold
