From info that Grace Neal McMillan gave me, William Cuton Butterfield Byars (son of Joab Byars, son of William Byars, son of Jonas James Byars, son of James Henry Byars, son of John Byars) born 17 Jan 1833 and died 20 Jul 1926. First marriage to Eliza McGuire. Second marriage to Susan Patterson.

Children with Eliza are i. William Randolph Byars b. 29 Oct. 1858, Calhoun County MS; d. 26 Apr 1940, Pittsboro, Calhoun County MS; ii. Rosa L. byars b. 1866; iii. John R. Byars, b 1868, MS; iv. Joseph J. Byars b. 1870, MS.
