I'm very interested in someone in the very beginning of your post, Margaret Ann Byars b. 1844 Chickasaw Co. MS and who married Wm Garrett. My GGGfather was James Byars, and my GGfather was James Wilkerson Byars. His death certificate says he was born in MS to James and Miss Douglass in 1851. I'm a novice genealogist and have found very little help in my search in Mississippi. Do you have more information on the Byars in MS? Any hints to aid me in searching.
