I'm also a descendant of James Henry Byars through his son Jeremiah Byars who was married to Elizabeth Hendricks/Hendrick, daughter of John Hendrick of Hanover co. VA. Jeremiah's estate was recorded 15 Mar. 1797 in Lincoln co. KY., and it names three children," Nancy Smith, wife of Jesse Smith, [my line], Edmund and John, and widow, Elizabeth." Would sure like to hear from anyone researching this family.
