I have the James Byers in Williamson Co., TN as the son of William/Elizabeth Byers. William was a Revolutionary soldier, born in PA and was of the York Co., SC Byers.

Sarah (Byers) Smith was sister and heir-at-law of Williamson Byers of York Dist., S.C., whose estate was administered in 1855 among heirs: his widow Martha Byers, brothers and sisters David Byers, James Byers, William Smith and wife Sarah, Francis Byers and Samuel A. Byers (children of Samuel Byers a deceased brother), also Mijamin Byers (child of Martha, a deceased sister). YCPR Case 32, file 1349.
