Looking for info on Iowa>Idaho Buzzard Family & possible connection to Shoshoni?

Hi, my great grandmother was Eva Inez Buzzard, born in Iowa and moved to Idaho. I grew up with stories (from my father) who stated she was half Native American (Shoshoni tribe). I cannot find evidence to this anywhere. All the census records list her as "White" and I believe, back in 1890/1900/1910, if she had been half Native (and one of her parent full-blooded Shoshoni) then it would have been indicated on the census. I just can't find any lists to back up this claim (Shoshoni Reservation lists or anything). This branch of the Buzzard Family lived in Indian Valley, Idaho through much of the early 20th century).

Does anyone know or has anyone ever heard about this?

Would appreciate any information!
