I.am also researching may Buxton roots without a lot of luck here in Loisiana.I found some info on Derbyshire.Jebediah Buxton-born at Elmton,Derbyshire England in mar. 20,1707-died there in 1772.He was an English mathemadial prodigy, son of a schoolmaster,but remained a farmer all his life.Also a Sir Thomas Fowell Buxton b.Apr.1,1786-d.Feb. 19,1845-father of Charles Buxton & grandfather of Thomas Fowell Buxton 1837-1915 ,a advocate of abolition of slavery.
