Hi

I do not know much about the Buxton family as although I was born in Liverpool I grew up abroad. My mother, Dorothy, born in 1927, had two older sisters, Mary and Margaret, and two younger brothers Alfie and Tom. She also had a half sister and brother from her father's second marriage - Barbara and Peter. My maternal grandfather was Alfred Buxton, born in Liverpool around 1899. He married Margaret, nee Beswick. His parents were Harriet and John Buxton. John seems to have been born in Manchester in around 1861, Harriet in Liverpool in around 1872. Alfred had older siblings - Maggie, Joseph, Elizabeth, John and Thomas and a younger brother William.

Patrice
