My grt. Grandfather Charles Jaques, b.Feb 5, 1821, d. Dec.3, 1913 married an Eliza Buxton b.Aug 30, 1822 d. April 5, 1893. In the 1881 British Census they lived at 9 Mornington Crescent, St. Pancras, London, Middlesex, England. They had three children, Anne Eliza Irene,( my Godmother),Charles W. Austin and Frederic Horatio Wilcock, (My Grandfather). On researching the graves of a different side of the Jaques Family, I recently received a photograph which just happens to show the headstone for a Thomas Buxton Esq., of the County of Leicester, who died on the 6th Dec. 1811 at the age of 67. Also of his son, Mr. Charles Buxton, who died Dec. 13th 1811(?) I query this, as the 1811 is not very clear in the photograph. The picture was taken at the Bunhill Burial Grounds, wherever that is. If this is of interest to anyone, please e-mail me at exraf557@sbcglobal.net and I will be happy to email the picture of the headstone. I would also be interested to know if this makes a connection with any of the Buxton searchers.
